Ostrich steakOstrich meat is a low-fat red meat. In fact, Ostrich meat is lower in cholesterol then turkey and chicken. It reflects the desire of healthy conscious people yearning for an extremely lean meat that is savory and delicious. Ostrich meat is available in fillets and burgers.

Our ostriches are raised in humane conditions and are fed with the highest quality feed. They are processed under strict guidelines to ensure that each cut of meat is consistent with our standards and the USDA. All of our meat is USDA inspected and is 100% natural with no additives or preservatives.

We offer ostrich burgers, our proprietary top-fillet and a fan-fillet.

Ostrich burgerOur ¼ lb. burger patties are delicious. Unlike beef burgers, ostrich burgers are lean and hardly shrink when put on the grill.

The top-fillet is a great steak with a rich dark crimson color. It rivals the best beef steaks but is 98% fat free.

The fan-filet is the most tender and flavorful cut of ostrich meat. It is best served medium rare and is truly a delight to the taste buds.

Ostrich meat is best prepared medium rare (130ºF) to medium (145 ºF). Because of its lean nature it can be marinated to keep it moist while cooking. For best results ostrich meat should be prepared on the grill, in the broiler or pan fried. Cooked ostrich doesn’t do well re-heated and it shouldn’t be cooked in a microwave.
